About the Nomination
Patrick’s team improved sales retention by providing a sales training solution called Sales Certification. This 18 month program helped DHL Express qualify as an employer of choice in the Business Week Top 100 companies to work for. DHL needed to improve on sales turnover where levels were seen in the 25-28% range. After the first 6 months of implementation, the program showed immediate improvements. In fact, for the 2nd half of 2007 (July -December) upon which the new Training Certification kicked in, sales turnover dropped to a flat 19.0 %. This accomplishment was made possible by Patrick’s leadership role with the Sales Training Team. The solution was part of the Talent Management initiative called GET, KEEP and GROW, where sales training impacted the KEEP and GROW elements of the strategy.
